Health Hackathon 2016 Competition in London by korede p : February 15, 2016, 02:43:34 PM
I'm delighted to share this Healthcare Hackathon
competition (26th Feb) with you all from the World
Economic Forum Global Shapers [London] and invite
you all to participate. Join individuals and innovation
hubs across the Continent by participating virtually, or
you can attend in person if you can make it to Google
Campus London.

This is a fun and intense event where people form
teams to brainstorm and develop solutions to the
problems of real-life African healthcare organisations,
businesses and projects. At the end of the weekend,
the team that presents a solution that best meets the
needs of the African organisation/business their team
is assigned to (as judged by the panel of expert
judge), wins the competition. A health clinic startup in
South Africa, a feeding program in Nigeria are a
couple of examples of the initiatives taking part that
will benefit.

I will be in Africa during this competition, can I take

Yes! You can sign up and take part virtually, for free.
We will have a number of platforms to help facilitate
working and communication across different
geographies. If you will have good access to internet,
you can take part.

Do I need to come with a team?
It is not 100% necessary. If you don’t have a team
now, don’t worry. We will have team formation
processes before things kick off, including
opportunities for you to form teams with other people
across the Continent who want to participate and don't
have teams.
