Good morning Peculiar, I have been a member of this forum for quite a while (and your secret follower). After reading through series of your Facebook posts on nurse registration in UAE, I think I have the confidence to do it myself. I'm in the initial stage of nurse registration in Abu Dhabi and I am creating this post as my own personal diary and to ask questions if I encounter any problem along the line. I hope you and others with experience will be my guide.

Here are the requirements I have gathered so far:
1. My Nursing license
2. My Nursing Certificate (I have RN, RM, RPHN & BNSc but I'm only sticking with RN certificate from my Nursing School)
3. Marriage Certificate (To prove change of name)
4. International Passport (cost me #25,000 but later learnt it's officially #15,000, no regret though cos I got it within 24hours)
5. BLS (cost me #30,000 a single day seminar too)
6. Transcripts from my Nursing School (cost #5,000)
7. My WAEC certificate
8. Passport photograph (coloured on white background)
9. Employment Certificate (from my employer)
10. Good Standing Certificate from Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (cost #8,750 My husband just went to NMCN Abuja this morning for this)
11. Faith and Prayer

I have the above scanned and saved on my laptop(with the exception of Good Standing Certificate).  I'm yet to create an account with HAAD Dataflow just want to ensure that all credentials are complete before starting.

Is there anything I need to add to this? People who have gone through this process before should help (if any)

Will keep you posted as things go.
Have a lovely week

I'm back! Now I have all the requirements scanned in jpg and ready to begin my application. For those who might want to process the Good Standing Certificate from Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) here are the steps and requirements :

-Photocopy of your current license (not expired license o)
-Photocopy of your birth certificate
-Photocopy of your marriage certificate (me add Newspaper Publication too. Just don't want  my husband to get there start hearing story that torches the heart lol)
-Handwritten application with the address to be sent to :

Health Authority Abu Dhabi
Division of Health Regulations
Department of Health Professional
Licensing P.O. Box 5674
Abu Dhabi, UAE

-Photocopy of certificates of registration (the one from nursing and midwifery council of Nigeria)
-Original Teller and Printout of the payment of #8750 through Remita
-Passport photograph

That's all. I was told it usually takes 3 weeks to process but my husband went to Abuja for a conference and was always visiting NMCN office daily (got lucky though) so I got mine within a week.

Will be back later, off to start the application process

@KemiRn, welldone and good work. How far have you gone with the application? Please share with us how the form looks like, any update or differences between it and the one posted by @Katty?  Also learnt the application fees has increased from 600AED to 950AED and that 1AED=#130 on black market. Please share details information when you are through with the application form including how you are able to pay the application fees considering that you can't spend more than $100 per day using your ATM card (for those in Nigeria)

Re: My HAAD Nurse Registration Journey and Experience: A Guide for other Nurses by KemiRN : August 14, 2016, 05:16:20 PM
Thanks @Peculiar, I just submitted my application and paid for it. Yes, application fees is now 950AED plus additional 30AED making 980AED if you are paying by credit card and provided you are only using transcript from one nursing school and one employer only.  Will give details about the form and how I filled it hopefully before night fall.

I'm not sure whether one can pay with our Nigerian cards or not because I used a foreign card to make the payment.

Have you been able to make the payment? If you continue to have same problem it might be due to the limit placed on naira debit card, you can get a dollar dominated card or get someone else with dollar account to make the payment for you then you. Please do let us know how you are able to solve this challenge.

Update on my application
My employer got a call from Dataflow not quite long but he was busy so asked them to call back.

@Adeleke5157:
1. Yes you can that's what I am using too according to HAAD requirements
2. I don't think they disclose it because I have been seeing conflicting figures some say 60% and some say 90%
3. Depends on visa type you are applying for
4. I don't think so but I'm sure you can use your dataflow report
5. The employer sponsoring your license. Yes you will need one before license can be issued to you

@Adeoye, has your employer gotten a call too?

Update:

HAAD dataflow representative later called my MD back and asked him some questions, he told me they sent a mail to him and he responded to the email the second day. 2 days later I saw COMPLETED in under the employment in my online account.

@Adeleke5157, after you pass HAAD prometric exam you will look for work. After signing employment contract with your employer then your employer will be your sponsor.

2. From what I read online, seems Saunders NCLEX material is OK.

I have been a silent follower of this thread and I got inspired by you to start my haad registration as a Registered Midwife. When I started, I had issue with my good standing certificate as it took council almost 3months before the new registrar could sign. Anyway that's now a past thing. I submitted my application to HAAD just yesterday after getting my dataflow report. I submitted my RN, RM and BNSC results.

Are you now in UAE, please come and update this thread as it is the guide I'm following o don't let me be stranded.

Hello there, i have been a ghost member here for a while now and I have been following this thread, I must say that am impressed for the great information and communication communication in this thread.
I have a question to ask though, contrary to what I have heard is that a nurse who works in a private hospital can't apply for HAAD because they recognize those who work in Federal or state hospital. how true is this? I will appreciate a good response thanks @kemirn @katty @olabode et al.

I am happy to read the thread and I really appreciate the enlightenment.
I put in an application to HAAD in March last year through an agent and the credentialing  was successful even though it took longer than expected. I was told by the agent that I was given 3 months to process my visa and to come and write the licensing examination but I couldn't meet up due to financial constraints as I lost my job along the line. The ultimatum was January, 2017. Please is there anything that could still be done now to continue from where I stopped?

Re: My HAAD Nurse Registration Journey and Experience: A Guide for other Nurses by Idowu Olabode : March 18, 2017, 06:26:09 AM
@Mobolaji, it is completely false. Nurses who work in private hospitals are eligible to apply.

@Olori Abike,  is your HAAD login home still opening? Login to your application to see if it's still active and try to see if you can still make booking for your exam. If not then I I suggest you call HAAD and tell them you weren't able to write the exam before the given deadline and ask for extension. Note that you should have your details ready (including login ID) in case they ask. Alternatively, send them a mail.

@Sharonk,you don't need to sign or stamp your documents just like you have seen from this post. No, you can't use your employment letter it has to be a letter written by your employer. Below are the needed requirements once again:

1. My Nursing license
2. My Nursing Certificates (both the one issued by your school and Nursing and Midwifery Council)
3. Marriage Certificate (To prove change of name if you are married )
4. International Passport
5. BLS
6. Transcripts from Nursing School
7. WAEC certificate
8. Passport photograph (coloured on white background)
9. Employment Certificate (Letter from your employer)
10. Good Standing Certificate from Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria

Obtain a letter from your hospital stating:
Your position as a Registered Nurse, date you got employed and that you are still working with them, your responsibilities, etc. The letter should be in your hospital letterhead paper with email and phone number of who to contact, hospital stamp etc.

You can use your notification and in case you are contacted later for certificate tell them that you certificate isn't ready from council.

hello!!!
I am hoping that someone could help me..I'd been searching for an answer regarding the ETARASOL required by the HAAD council.
I am currently living here in the Philippines, never been in UAE before. In the form there is question about the Unified number, class and type. What would I answer for that? Some says that the Unified Number will be find in the visa. But my employer intended me to go there when I am almost done in my licensing process. I am already HAAD passer and got disapproved due to no facility. I am on my re-prelicensing application and HAAD required to sign the ETARASOL or else my application will be disapproved again. Please hepl me.

this is for those reading the thread. I am self-applicant as well. I was disapproved on my initial prelicensing as i mentioned above this thread. But i did reapply and just followed what the others have posted together with the corrected info they require. And im now approved to book an examination. They have been very quick to reply in just matter of days. So, check your application twice a day. For those confused with ETARASOL, i have just translated the names into arabic using google translate. Oh, and dont forget to include your BLS/ACLS under the attachments tab in Professional Education (TOR, RLE, DIPLOMA, BLS/ACLS) Goodluck to other future self-applicants there x
