|HAAD Exam for Nurses Tips by katty : April 11, 2016, 09:10:43 PM|
Sitting for HAAD? Here are the few tips to help you pass HAAD exam at the first attempt.
Just start by reviewing books like Saunders, or GAPUZ's ABC's of passing foreign Nursing exams..no particular book for HAAD, 150 questions in 3 hours, computer based, and result will come out right after you're done.
sample questions that some encountered are about medication (AMitryptilline, Vancomycin, Cephalosporin, Glybencide,Pilocarpine, Biphosponate, inotropic meds) and MedSurg questions ( pancreatitis, burn, hemicolectomy, hyperpituitarism, hypo Vs hyperglycemia,) OBG ( placenta vs abruptio, Rh incompatibility) Infection Control ( Transmission Based precaution) Nursing Jurisprudence, Leadership & Management, and so on
HAAD questions are a pretty mix of tricky and straightforward questions; leaving you with two options that are easy to eliminate, and another two to decided which is which. There are also some options that do not say directly the meaning (meaning you know what the answer is, only reworded), but it is the same otherwise.
Other HAAD exam for nurses tips are:
*Review the Systems in the Human Body
*Do an overall review of the types of diseases affect the systems and their impact on other systems
*Consider the Nursing Responsibility as it relates to Patient care
*Review how nursing practice is developed i.e. policies, practices, guidelines
*Review how nurses sit in their role as a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team
*Look at infection control practices in disease prevention
