Nursing Council Registrar Mr. Farouk Abubakar:Taking Nursing To The Promise Land by katty : February 05, 2017, 07:04:17 AM
Hard work  dedication & commitments are not determined by  gender or tribal inclinations, rather they are determined by those inherent biological characteristics plus a combination of uncommon leadership qualities that are found within a person.
To those who know Mr. Farouk Abubakar Registrar/Secretary General Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, he is someone who has  natural managerial & leadership qualities, shaped by a high level academic achievements. He combines the task of being a Registrar, with his doctorate degree programme currently.
He inspires and motivates his subordinates to set achievable goals to meet personal and organizational objectives and ensures that those goals are accomplished within a specified time frame.
Mr Farouk enjoys working with hard working staff and he is a specialist when it comes to nurturing younger ones. He encourages his staff to realize their potentials and stick to a pre-set plan or schedule of duty just to ensure that there is not undue compromise or interference of whatever form.
I spent ten (10)long years as his protege, having  worked with him for a decade (2006-2016). I am inspired by his uncompromising desire to succeed. His leadership and managerial skills  are  rare and exceptional, the speed at which he completes his tasks with perfection is unbelievable, His IQ is simply put as astonishing, He is not just intellectually sharp but  also mathematically astute. The result  of all these is  an oriented workaholic who knows where solutions to a problem lies.
As someone who Knows Mr Faruk, I  am in no way surprised by his achievements at the council. This is not an over exaggeration as he surprises even his enemies. The GOOD NEWS is that the best of Mr Farouk is yet to be seen!
He will move the Council to world standard and will out-class and out-compete all nursing regulatory bodies in Africa within his first term as Registrar Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria .
Nigerian nurses will become proud of his leadership strides at the Council.
I wish him and his staff success in the discharge of their duties, even as he prepares for higher responsibilities in life.
