YNITU calls for the South African Minister of Health to STEP DOWN for calling Nurses "Devils in White", "Incompetent and Damaged Profession" and inciting public anger and violence against Nurses who are at the front line in his dilapidated health system...

RE: MINISTER OF HEALTH, AARON MOTSOALEDI TRENDING 702 INTERVIEW PODCAST ON "DAMAGED" NURSING TRAINING.

06 January 2017

YNITU is exasperated by the ignorant ill-informed utterances of the Minister of Health on the podcast referred above. It is evident the Hell_th Mdala is clueless about the core challenges that are facing his department and specifically Nursing that is in serious crisis. Motsoaledi has failed dismally to put systems, processes and sound governance in the department of health and has no control nor influence on how health is run at provincial level.

YNITU loathes how Motsoaledi always resorts to using the Nurses as a scapegoat for his deliriction and obvious failures instead of addressing the globalization of the world renowned 4-year Diploma/ Bachelors Degree in Nursing Training. Motsoaledi's department has exploited Nurse Practitioners by underpaying comprehensive speciality professional Nurses and further introducing task-shifting obtruding Nurses to practice outside the scope of practice without SANC recognized accredited qualification nor compensation.
Motsoaledi is hailed by the media as a good samaritan Minister despite running the department that has failed dismally to provide quality healthcare for South African 24-years into democracy. The Life Esidimeni massacre bears such testimony among many unreported and unexposed massacres which occured on his watch and command. The minister resents taking responsibility and accountability instead he marvels at speaking utter hogwash to media about those under him that he is failing to listen to or manage.

Under the ANC regime the minister who has not produced anything except the delapitated infrastructures, shortage of staff, equipment & supplies, high mortality rates, bleeding public purse, gross theft and corruption has miraculously been surviving all cabinet reshuffles under the Zumas regime.

YNITU calls for the Minister to STEP DOWN as he clearly has not brought any improvement to health except to demorilize and demotivating the heartbeat and spine of the Health System. Nurses has taken enough abuse from Motsoaledi from calling Nurses "Devils in White" to "Incompetent and Damaged Profession" and inciting public anger and violence against Nurses who are front line in his dilapidated health system and have suffered enough attacks from the communities they serve due to his failures to ensure a department which runs like a well oiled machine.

YNITU calls for the recall of the Minister Aaron Motsoaledi a.k.a Minister of Hell_th by the President should he fail to step down by himself or all hell will break loose in the health system, South African Health Care System deserves better.
