|#Osun2016 Nigerian Nurses Take over Osun State, As National Delegates Conference Kicks off by katty : October 23, 2016, 07:19:45 PM|
The National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives has "taken over" Ipinle Omoluabi at least for a week for its National Delegates Conference tagged Osun 2016 which is underway in Osogbo the state capital.
The National Delegates Conference of NANNM is a quadrennial event that brings together Nigerian Nurses from within and outside the country to deliberate on issues affecting Nursing education and practice in the country. The conference is also meant to intimate members with latest developments in the Nursing field and give report of the Union’s activities for the last four years.
The National Delegates Conference which started earlier today with a special Inter-denominational church service at Zion Baptist Church, Oketunji Street, Alekuwodo Osogbo will be brought to an end on the 29th October, 2016.
The event will feature among other things :
-Seminars and workshops
-Opening Ceremony on Tuesday
-Cultural Night among others.
The event will attract who is who in the political and professional arena both within and outside the country. It is expected to also produce the next executive members that would pilot the affairs the affairs of the association for the next four years.
Recall that the last National Delegates Conference held in Yenaqua, Bayelsa state in 2016 produced the outgoing president Alhaji Abdurafiu Alani Adeniji whose achievements among others include the actualization of internship for graduate nurses and a unified scheme of service for nurses. He is seeking reelection into the office.
