Dear Sir/Madam,
Compliment of the season!
You will recall that the online application for registration and license commences on January 1, 2018 for newly qualified general and post basic Nurses as stated when the result was released.
With this development, I am directed to inform you that successful candidates in the November 2017 examinations (i.e. newly qualified nurses) are to visit the Council’s portal on to initiate online application for registration as a newly qualified Nurse.
The process involves three stages namely;
1. Application Stage: The applicant uses his/her index number and date of birth to initiate application for registration online and fill the form online.
2. Clearance/Approval Stage:  The school desk officer/Focal person logs in after clicking on registration tab to approves the candidate’s application submitted online.
3. Payment Stage: The applicant proceeds to pay for registration online on netpostpay platform using index number and date of birth to generate the netpostpay payment slip. The applicant is to click on registration tab first when the applicant is about to generate payment slip for payment.
I am further directed to inform you that the payment process for online application for registration for newly qualified nurses will now be done by each applicant through the netpostpay payment platform individually. Bulk payment is not allowed on netpostpay for registration.

However, the payment details for the online application for registration for the newly qualified nurses on netpostpay is as follows;
Kindly note that the registration fees will appear on the portal and on the netpostpay (payment) slip generated from the portal and this should be paid individually to netpostpay through NIBBS e-bills payment platform in any commercial banks. Internet banking and debit cards payment options are also available on the portal.
After successful online application and payment, a covering letter stating the names of the applicants who have applied for online registration application with the tellers of payment (netpostpay payment slip) should be sent to the Registrar’s office in Abuja immediately after payment has been made.
You are expected to pass this information to all your candidates and guide them properly to ensure that they initiate the right application and payment on the portal. Your cooperation is essential to achieve this please. Thank you for your usual support in promoting and maintaining excellence in Nursing Education and Practice.
