JOHESU And The Poor Masses, A Call For Nation Wide Protest By The Patriotic by katty : May 08, 2018, 06:48:07 AM
Dear Nigerian(s),
This is a clarion call to put an end to a calculated attempt to deprive the poor masses an opportunity of getting an access to affordable and qualitative health care services by the elites.
It is glaring that the government of the day under the watchful eye of president Muhammadu Buhari is killing the health sector by appointment of an unqualified person to oversees the ministry of Health, it is pathetic that the Minister of health is so daft not to have known the difference between minutes of a meeting and memorandum of understanding.
All what JOHESU is asking for, is fulfillment of an agreement freely entered by both the representative of FG and JOHESU dated back as far as 2014, implementation of court rulings in favour of JOHESU and provision of enabling environment (both human resources and equipment) to ensure quality of care to Nigerian, as against the NMA usual pattern of struggle which centered, focus and revolves all around a take home package to the detriment of the health sector.

The Health sector is on the verge of collapse as no any health reform policy ever been initiated since the beginning of this administration other than the policy of no work no pay which is targeted to frustrate and intimidate the JOHESU members, the minister of health is out of ideology to move health sector forward as he only listen and take orders from the like of professor Ogirima who is suffering from delusion of grandiosity.
It is regrettable for the leadership of NMA not to recognize that the best practice worldwide evolve around team work and every member of the team plays an important role, the leadership of NMA are myopic for not recognizing that the Nurses earn higher hazard allowance than any other professional in Health sectors in a develop countries of the world, but unfortunately when the Nurses are not drive by the financial gain but professionalism the Medical Doctors researches on finances on daily bases.
I hereby call on all patriotic Nigerian to let us converge at the capital city of each state to protest and call for the removal of the Minister of Health (Professor Isaac Adewole) in the event that the Secondary health sector is shut down due to the ongoing JOHESU strike as the elite can afford travelling abroad for medical tourism while the poor masses are left to their fate.
Comrade Shuaibu M. Mustapha
