India: Bihar Minister Launches Nursing Council Website by katty : September 01, 2018, 06:29:20 PM
State health minister Mangal Pandey launched the website of Bihar Nurses Registration Council-Patna at a programme organized by the State Health Society Bihar here on Friday. The minister congratulated the nursing fraternity for putting extra efforts to ensure launch of the website – www.bnrcpatna.com.

Pandey said the state government was committed to ensuring digitization of health services. “Medical students, who are pursuing revised auxiliary nurse midwifery (RANM), general nursing and midwifery (GNM), BSc and MSc nursing courses, will get materials and information about the affiliated government and private nursing colleges in Bihar on the website,” he said.

The minister said heads of all nursing colleges in Bihar should update the list of the students studying at their institutes. “The applications for admission in nursing colleges and the results will be uploaded to the website,” Pandey said, adding the Bihar Nurses Registration Council will issue certificates to qualified nurses.

“Registered nurses from other states can also transfer their registrations to Bihar and practise here,” Pandey added. The council will also conduct examination of RANM, GNM, BSc and MSc nursing courses, monitor nursing institutes in state and take action against malpractices and professional misconducts. Principal secretary of health department Sanjay Kumar, who was also present at the launch, said all the states have their own council for nurses. “The department has taken a good step towards digitisation of nursing and midwifery registration. Now, the professionals will not have to run from pillar to post for registration,” he said.
