|Gombe Federal Teaching Hospital Nurses Withdraw From NANNM, Write Management by katty : October 31, 2016, 06:43:39 PM|
Over a hundred junior Nurses, Staff Nurses, Nursing Officers 1 & 2 under the employ of the Federal Teaching Hospital have written to the management of the Federal Teaching hospital Gombe to signal withdrawal from participation and financial contributions to the National Association Of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM).
In the letter dated 31st October 2016 the Nurses informed the management of their voluntary withdrawal of financial contributions to NANNM.
They requested that further deductions from their monthly salaries be discontinued from November 2016.
Reasons for their withdrawal include the following and more:
1. The removal of teaching allowance since 2014 without NANNM making any efforts to correct this.
2. Lack of Transparency, Fraud and lack of empathy to the plight of junior Nurses in the FHI
3. Why Nurses keep on paying such exhobitant dues to their National bodies without any significant impact.
4. Lack of financial accountability
The Nurses futher state that this action begins with immediate effect.
Below are letters sen to both the FTH Management and NANNM
