The Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria BNSc Nursing students were this week at the Beth Torrey Home (Home of people with physical disabilities and mental derangement), Aytam Foundation (An orphanage boarding school) and Almajiri School to offer humanitarian services.
The Mercy Showcase Day was a maiden event organised by the current administration of NUNSA ABU.
During the event Food stuffs, Clothes, Detergents, Laundry soaps, Eggs and Breads, Biscuits, School bags, dates and drinking water were provided for donations.
Barbing and cutting of finger nails services, slippers with Health education on person hygiene, self-reliance were specifically provided for the Almajiri School Children.
It was an opportunity provided for the Nursing students to show their sympathy and touch the lives of the less previledged within the Zaria metropolis.
