List of Federal and Private Universities in Abuja by walex : November 13, 2017, 01:26:32 PM
This specific list is to support students, lecturers, parents, lecturers, researchers and guardians from any part of Nigeria. If you are planning to enrol into any one of Abuja’s Univeristies, this list is for you.

Baze University Abuja

Baze University delivers quality by having experienced international staff, superb teaching equipment, overseas external examiners, and first-rate buildings to guarantee standards. Baze aims to provide university education to British standards in Nigeria at about half the cost of sending a student to study abroad.

African University of Science and Technology

The African University of Science and Technology (AUST) is a Pan-African institution, established in 2007 in response to a request from several African Heads of State, to give life to a request made by then President Nelson Mandela of South Africa, that the World Bank and the African Union work together to create strong Pan-African centres of excellence to improve sub-Saharan Africa’s capacity in Science and Technology.

Thus, a network of the now so-called Nelson Mandela African Institutes of Science and Technology (NM-AISTs) was born. AUST in Abuja was the first of these Centers of Excellence to be established. It currently only offers Graduate level programs by a combination of course work and cutting edge research.

National Open University of Nigeria

The National Open University of Nigeria has made available study centers for her students all across the country, in order to assist her students. Today, most parents and even the younger people find the National Open Universities of Nigeria (NOUN) unattractive to study and prefer conventional universities where admission is more difficult. What do you think is responsible for this. It is basically as a result of ignorance.

To accept change is always difficult for people. Open and distance learning is a new education system in Nigeria and therefore, you dont expect the younger generation, as well as the older ones who are not used to the system to embrace it just like that.

To many, unless a student gets admission, goes to live in the hostel, goes to classroom and engages in all those routines, they will not believe they are students. But hopefully and very soon, things will change in this country.

Nigerian Turkish Nile University

Nigerian Turkish Nile University is a private institution of higher learning offering educational programmes for university students in Abuja.

Veritas University Abuja
